The Industrialist, the official student publication of Pampanga State University, remains steadfast in fulfilling its mandate to deliver timely and relevant information to the Honorian community. This includes announcements on class suspensions, advisories, and other updates essential to the student body, ensuring that information is accurately and responsibly disseminated through our platforms.

Earlier today, the publication released a JUST IN post informing students about the learning modality to be implemented tomorrow, October 30, in light of the upcoming holidays. A few minutes later, the post was taken down following new information and clarifications regarding the internal communication from the University Student Council (USC).

The letter, which had served as our source, was later confirmed to be intended for internal dissemination and not for public posting. To prevent further confusion and in adherence to the principles of ethical journalism, the publication decided to remove the post while proper verification was being conducted.

While the post has been taken down, we firmly emphasize that what we reported was factual and accurate at the time of posting. Our intent was purely to inform the student body in good faith and in accordance with our journalistic duty. Nevertheless, we take full accountability for any confusion or uncertainty that our post may have caused among our readers.

The Industrialist also underscores its unwavering journalistic independence. We are not dictated nor influenced by any body, office, or individual. Our actions and reports are guided by the ethical standards of campus journalism, anchored on truth, fairness, and accountability.

We further emphasize that the publication does not seek to dictate or misrepresent any university decision. Rather, we recognize the importance of verifying and clarifying information to prevent misinformation, uphold transparency, and preserve the trust of the student body. We also encourage everyone to stay connected to official university communication channels for verified information and updates.

As the university’s official student publication, The Industrialist remains committed to its role in serving the students, standing by the truth, and upholding the principles of ethical and responsible journalism.

Independent. Impartial. In Good Faith.

Known as the third-oldest student publication in Central Luzon. The Industrialist is the premier student publication of Pampanga State University (formerly Don Honorio Ventura State University).
