Indus seizes 21 awards, boosts Central Luzon's lead at 21st LHEPC; ALTPA to launch inaugural NHEPC in Vigan

Reaffirming its position among Luzon’s top campus publications, The Industrialist, the official student publication of Pampanga State University (PampangaStateU), continued its winning streak by winning 21 awards at the 21st Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC), contributing to Central Luzon's overall championship.
The three-day event, held at NGN Gran Hotel, Caggay, Tuguegarao City from March 17 to 19 brought together 167 publications and 1,189 delegates from across Luzon, with Central Visayas joining as a guest region.
Dominating both worlds of artistry and glam, Art Director Jr. Rey Maglalang secured back-to-back championships in the Digital Literary Graphics (Filipino) and was crowned as the first-ever Mx. LHEPC 2026.
Meanwhile, Chief Layout Artist Val Andrei De Vera was hailed as the fifth-highest individual pointer after clinching second place in Layouting and third place in Infographics.
Besting multiple entries in the printed issues, the publication also earned nine recognitions for Newsletter, Tabloid (Palad), and Magazine (Busaw) entries.

Meanwhile, Central Luzon emerged as the LHEPC’s Best Performing Region after dominating individual and group events.
Moreover, the conference marked the last Luzonwide competition before the historic inauguration of the National Higher Education Press Conference (NHEPC), announced by the Association of Luzonwide Tertiary Press Advisers Inc. (ALTPA), which will be hosted next year in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
